Neurofeedback Training helps unlock your fullest potential by pinpointing areas of brainwave activity that are not performing optimally. Using advanced technology and cutting edge science, we can begin to train the brain to replace those unfavorable responses with healthier, more efficient ones. Over time and with the proper training protocols, patients will experience peak performance, reduced stress and rumination and enjoy an overall sense of peace and balance.

First we will review your medical history, current diet and medications and what unwanted symptoms you're experiencing as well as your goals. We will then conduct a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) and/or a full-cap Quantitative Electroencephalogram (qEEG), which will allow us to peer inside the brain and analyze the different frequency patterns within each region to see which areas may be over or under activating. These two powerful tools give us invaluable information about what underlying imbalances are occurring- leading to symptoms in the mind and body.

Once we know if there are heavy metals affecting brain wave patterns and which areas are being impacted, we can create an individualized training plan to begin the process of replacing less optimal brain signaling activity with more appropriate communcation.
Over the course of treatments, the computerized program will teach you to disrupt your current patterns of activity and gently teach your nervous system to respond in healthier, more balanced ways. The result is a nervous system that self-regulates and functions optimally.

A balanced brain is one that is less reactive, more objective and better at performing everyday tasks.
Most clients report positive outcomes such as reduced stress, increased energy, improved clarity and performance by the end of their first round of treatments.
A brain map or qEEG ( Quantitative Electroencephalography) is a comprehensive overview of the activity in your brain. Much like an EKG measures the electrical messages from the heart, a qEEG measures the electrical messages from the brain. This map will show different brain frequencies and highlight which areas are over or under signaling, contributing to symptoms within the body.
Neurofeedback training is a non-invasive therapy that uses computerized programs to monitor and assess brainwave activity and provide audio and/or visual feedback in real time. By doing so, counterproductive brain activity patterns are disrupted and replaced with more optimal and efficient responses. The brain is essentially "reprogrammed" to perform better.
No. A brain map is the first step in beginning Neurofeedback Training. It shows areas needing training, and can also provide indications of underlying metal toxicity and metabolic issues.
Neurofeedback Training is how we begin to treat these imbalances. Neurofeedback therapy is the practice of training your brain through operant conditioning.
Neurofeedback training is beneficial to both children and adults suffering from a wide array of physical and mental challenges such as:
Neurofeedback therapy has also proven to be beneficial to those who may not have a specific condition to treat, but are looking for ways to improve their cognitive function and increase both mental and physical performance. Patients may wish to stabilize mood, calm the nervous system and increase their mental acuity.
During a Brain Mapping session we will place a 19-point sensor cap (much like a swimming cap) on the patients head with an electro-gel on each of the sensor sites to help read frequencies. The client is asked to relax and we will then begin recording a 2-minute reading, first with the eyes closed and then again with the eyes open. These may take longer to ensure there are no outside disturbances.
During a Neurofeedback Training session we will connect 5 sensors to standardized locations on the patients head, based on the results from the qEEG. Electrodes are placed on the scalp using a conductive electrode paste. These electrodes are connected to an amplifier that is connected to a computer program which will analyze the oscillation patterns in the brain. During the training, the patient will watch a movie or TV show that the they find interesting but calming such as a nature documentary or light-hearted program. When the oscillation patterns match what we are training for, the screen will become bright and when the brain produces oscillation patterns we are trying to discourage, the screen will go dark. This is called operant conditioning, rewarding desired behavior. Over time, the brain can more easily produce the optimum oscillation pattern through what is called neuroplasticity, the brains abilities to make new neural connections.
HTMA is a safe and non-invasive pathology test. It measures the levels and comparative ratios of nutrient and toxic minerals found in hair. These test results can reveal and explain the cause of many symptoms, which is almost always related to nutritional deficiencies, mineral imbalances and heavy metal toxicity.
Heart rate variability (HRV) is the fluctuation in the time intervals between adjacent heartbeats. HRV provides a snapshot into how your body is balancing between the two branches of your autonomic nervous system: your sympathetic (“fight-or-flight”) and parasympathetic (“rest-and-digest") During training, a computerized program provides you with real-time feedback. This feedback teaches your system to pace your breathing to be in sync with your heart rate – this is referred to as coherence.
For brain mapping (qEEG): Appointments will need to be conducted in the morning before breakfast and after a good nights sleep to ensure an accurate reading.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis: Hair needs to be clean and dry with no conditioner or products. No medicated shampoo, within two weeks of sample, or hair dye should be used within three weeks of sample.
Start
Dali Pyzel started her career as a licensed classroom teacher and over the years became increasingly concerned with the large numbers of students who were diagnosed with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD. She was familiar with the struggles of ADHD, the inability to focus, hyper distractibility and inefficient task completion as not only was it a regular diagnosis in the classroom but some of her family members had been diagnosed with the disorder as well. Counselors recommended prescription medication to improve performance but she was concerned about the negative side effects of medication and set out to research alternatives.
Discovery
She found there was an alternative therapy called neurofeedback, NFB, being used with great success on people suffering from the symptoms of ADHD. After finding a certified NFB clinician she began taking her daughter for training sessions and instantly saw the difference it made. When it was time for a change in Dali’s career, she took courses and was mentored to become a certified NFB clinician with the intention to help children in her community overcome the homework struggles, the feelings of being stupid and getting poor grades. What she discovered while performing regular qualitative enchephalographys, QEEGs, also called brain mapping, was that her clients with these types of issues had QEEGs consistent with metal toxicity.
After researching the effects of metals, she learned how elevated tissue metals can affect attention, memory, hyperactivity, reading, spelling, math, anxiety, mood and so much more. In her training to become a neurofeedback clinician she had learned about the stable state of the body, how minerals can influence the effectiveness of NFB training and how you can check mineral status using a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, HTMA. After sending off hair samples of clients and receiving the results, she saw that all of her clients, including her daughter, being seen for these types of issues had elevated tissue levels of copper and/or mercury. Once she worked on the stable state of her clients through vitamin and mineral supplementation recommendations based on their HTMAs the patterns associated with heavy metals decreased on their brainmaps and parents reported improved school performance and improved behavior.
Path
After the discovery of how foundational heavy metals are in cognitive issues, Dali set off to study how to properly interpret HTMAs and the inter-relationships between the minerals and their vitamin cofactors. She took more courses, attended more webinars and still is continually reading books on the subject.
Dali continues to learn and gain a better understanding of the electrical potential of cellular communication. She studies how and why our cells can under or over communicate, and is currently working towards being a Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc) with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization to deepen her knowledge to thelp her clients, family and friends.
